As designing with existing buildings and reusing of buildings are
becoming central positions in the field of architecture it seems rather
important to embark this topic not as a problem, but as an opportunity.
On the first glance being only an additional difficulty, pre-existing
buildings offer inspiration and encourage creative approaches.
In this project the existing structure of an old gas station in the outskirts of Graz is transformed to host the contrary combination of a chapel and a jump park. This unusual pairing of functions aims to attract and bring
together different age groups hence enliven this part of the city.
